I lived in this building for 8 years and really liked it. It's in a safe and pleasant and extremely convenient neighborhood. The only downer is the 59th St. bridge traffic. The super is phenomenal; the doormen are great; the management company is quite good. In addition to the roof deck, the building has a garden in the back. Its south side looks over 57th street, so if you're moving into a south side apartment, invest in some good windows or it will be noisy. There is a central laundry in the basement; I believe washers/dryers are not allowed in the apts. There is now a no-dog policy in the bldg. There is no basement storage. The description on this site is wrong in that there is no "on-site" parking; there are several garages very nearby and reasonably priced. I used Champion Park on East 59th between 2nd and 1st. Don't miss the East Coast's coolest-looking grocery store, the Food Emporium Bridgemarket under the 59th St. bridge. All in all this was a great place to live. I never had a significant problem with any aspect of my apartment.

This Co-op building is located at 235 East 57th Street. It is close to the Queensboro Bridge and a few blocks from the subway. The building has a roof deck with views of the East River. On-site parking and the close proximity to the Queensboro Bridge makes this building extremely convenient for car owners.
